Blog Launch

Fingerhut wanted to launch a blog. It would share helpful content about credit and personal finances.

It would also support customers and prospects as they worked to rebuild their credit. And empower them to improve their financial health, too.

The content would also position the company as a trustworthy authority on credit. Plus, improve search rankings (thanks, SEO).

My Contribution
I established the tone of voice for the blog. It was friendly and conversational, never preachy or condescending.

I wrote all of the content for the landing page, initial blog posts, plus Facebook posts and emails to promote the new blog.

The launch on Facebook received positive customer engagement; emails had high open rates. And the blog continued to have lots of engagement over its life. Unfortunately, it was recently shut down prior to the company shutting down, too.

If you want to read a few of the blog posts I wrote, click on the image.

P.S. You may notice that the screenshot shows DIY projects. Wait, what? Well, DIY posts often got amazing engagement on Facebook.

So, the social team would tease DIY content on Facebook and drive readers to the blog for the instructions. That way readers might be lured into reading the credit and financial content.
