Educational Video Series
The goal of this project was to create engaging videos for Fingerhut that could be shared in email and on social media. This would support their push to provide more credit education for customers and prospects.
Past requests from Marketing asked us to focus on the features and benefits of the credit products or account-related content. Important? Yes. Engaging? Hmm…
I started with research on best practices for videos. I learned that short-form (:31-:60) ranked #1 for lead generation and engagement.* So, I gave myself the goal of keeping my concepts shorter than a minute.
I also decided to focus on concepts that could be produced as a series, not a bunch of one-off videos. I believed a series would help build awareness for the brand and establish it as a resource for credit education. Plus, several could be shot in a day, which would save time and money.
My Contribution
This series — Quick Credit Tips — was the first of concepts to be produced. I researched the content and wrote scripts for seven videos, four of which are shown here. I also coached the actors during the shoot.
